I haven't used a 49cc engine, so I ordered one from Powerking. I'm wondering which engines are the smoothest running with the least vibration, the 49cc or the so-called 80cc? I could be wrong, but I believe both engines have the same stroke, but the bore is different. If the engine was designed as 49cc, and they increased the bore, then perhaps the 49cc engine is smoother and better balanced?

Which engine is smoother with less vibration? Thank you.

From everything I have heard, the 49cc are smoother.

I have built several 70cc's and have one 50cc, but I only rode it for a few minutes since it was very cold out.....I can not make a qualified comment....yet.

A couple questions on the same line...

How much more power/torque does the 80 have?

Is the 80 significantly harder on the spokes?

I have used both. The little motor runs smoother and the same speed or faster on the flats. The big one can climb hills steeper and faster.

The little one revs higher and the big one vibrates more.
