Locking gas caps

It'll pay for itself...if you expect to have your gas stolen about 15-times over your bike's lifetime. Where do you guys park your bikes? Mogadishu?

I believe the OP's concern is that someone could put something in the tank rather than steal the gas. I guess it depends on the neighbourhood.

I rarely even lock my bike. It can sit outside my apartment for hours. A couple of times I forgot to bring it in at night and it was still there in the morning. Dumb luck for a hapless chimp I guess.

seems like if i was going to steal gas from one of these bikes, i would cut the fuel line at the carb and just let it drain into my gas can.
or just take some cutters to the tank straps and walk off with the whole thing.

trying to stand there and defeat the lock, then siphon it out of the tank... would require a thief who is a total idiot...
