I'm not real sure about this kind of tire today, but back in the day racing in the '70's, it was a common agreement then that colored tires were extra slick in the rain (not the sidewalls but the tread itself)

"don't ride orange tires in the rain" was the rule with sew-ups

and I found out the hard way in a rainy race in Miami, Ohio when I still had a chance to best Alan Kingsbury, but was fishtailing through the turns just trying to stay up.

the race, on a horseshoe shaped course with not a flat spot on it, was the only USCF event I' was ever in that was called off early due to rain,

so anyway- if you get colored tires, be careful about riding them in the rain
