I agree the machining seems incomplete. I am not a professional just commenting on your observation. I wonder if you could put the head on with some Arctic Silver and mount an effective fan around the plug and on top of the head.he should've made the area around the bolts flat so the washers don't tilt when you tighten em down with a bolt.
i happen to know the guy who is making them
amongst some other impressive hi performance stuff
he has built high performance vw engines for many years and has a whole bunch of things in the works
hold on to your seat and as far as this head in particular find out what the guarantee might be before you judge it too harshly he knows a few things about engines etc!!!!
Great idea!there could be some new high powered action at willow in a few weeks be on the look out????
What kind of a fan are you suggesting and how would you power it?I wonder if you could put the head on with some Arctic Silver and mount an effective fan around the plug and on top of the head.
I don't know. Just an avid power PC builder as a hobby. Just curious if the technology could be used on these bikes. Powering it would take a small 12v battery IMHO. Would be switched on occasionally during a race. I also wonder how a copper head would stand up. I understand that copper transfers heat more efficiently. Just a silly idea probably. But just the things I think about. What kind of a fan are you suggesting and how would you power it?
You don't need the whole head to be made out of copper. ItI also wonder how a copper head would stand up. I understand that copper transfers heat more efficiently. Just a silly idea probably. But just the things I think about.
