So I cant seem to find a workable position for my idler pulley. It either pushes the chain off the sprocket or scrapes on the frame. Also it's ugly. Any ideas?

OKC, OK
Get one of these from Turbobuick1........

Also, most times, the 'stock' idler pulley bar needs to be slightly twisted to allow smooth chain operation. If this doesn't work, you've got some major sprocket alignment issues.

Good luck!

Ugly? Yes.
But it should work if you twist the bracket correctly....and mount it SECURELY so it cannot move.
Try doing without if your bike allows. If not, turbobuick makes a good one.
