Out Late?

An elderly man was stopped by the police around 2a.m.
And was aked where he was going at that time of night.
The man replied "I'm on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has onthe human body, as well as smoking and staying out late."
The officer tjem asked, "Really?, Who's giving that lecture at this time of night?"
The man replied, "That would be my wife."

My lectures come when I've been working late in the garage and decide I'm too tired to take a shower.

"Did you take a shower" She mumbles as I crawl into bed.

"No dear, but I did wash my face real good."

"That's not good enough."

Twenty minutes later I crawl back into bed. Clean and smelling good but really sleepy.

Digging into the old memory banks {it's been a while} I do remember the proper answer to that question as being "Not yet dear, I'm just on my way'.
