I had hoped I would have my replica Indian on the road for this event. I lived in New Hampshire for years but never had a compelling reason to check out the activity. For those who don't know, the Laconia/Weirs Beach motorcycle week is one of several major annual gatherings, possibly the longest running, starting in 1916. Attendance these days is usually around 200,000 riders.

Since I had to trailer my bike to Maine over the weekend, I decided to take a little detour and through the lakes region. Everywhere I stopped I got more attention than a 50 cent drought beer sign. I felt a little bit of a poser at first but everyone was just as interested, if not more so, when I told them it was a complete replica.

Indian had a big set up there with circus tents and demo rides. Great looking bikes. They also had a couple of oldies on display.
