I held the end of the CDI and it shocked my very weak though when i rolled it.

if the spark plug is sparking, the next step it to put it in and see if it gets wet with fuel

yes the plug gets wet!
if its wet it ont spark right! right?

Grabbing the spark plug wire should knock you a good one if the ignition is working.
If you can hold it while you turn the engine over, it's far too weak to run.
Just sayin.

a plug can go bad - wouldn't hurt to try a new one

be sure to turn the engine fast to check for spark at the plug
