Starting to believe its a bad idea to use a paper or stone filter for 2-strokes. All 2-stroke I have ever dealt with only use screen filters if they had any at all.

Won't the paper or stone filter strain some of the oil? Especially a filter that has been used for a while?

Anybody got any input or info to share about this topic?

From what I learned in chem class both oil and gasoline are hydrophobic and therefore will mix easily into a homogeneous solution. The only time you run a real risk of separation is when you have an organic oil like castor mixed with a synthetic fuel like gasoline. I hope this helps. Go for the paper filters, they're just fine with almost every mix other than possibly castor oil.
