I need some more KMC 415 but in a longer length. Would have to go out and count but pretty sure. Anyone got a link to longer boxed up than 98 L. ? That has been perfect chain for me. The best yet. Not so heavy that it is like luggage or something? Yet light enough to be quiet. So far for more than strong enough for my machines.

They come longer pretty sure? Just don't know where yet? My Boxer came with with a KMC HD 415 chain beyond 98 L

ok thank you aleman, that helps a lot. I was trying to find a chain length calculator that would convert links to inches earlier, but to no avail. So I think I will just order on ebay. pretty sure the chain i looked at was kmc. i have seen 410 and 410h, but what is z410? is there any difference between z410 and 410h?

From what I can tell, z410 is heavier duty than standard 410 or 410h. I just found 112 links of kmc z410 for around $10 shipped on ebay, and that seems like a great deal. Its a few more links than I need, so I'll have a few spare links. I hear that kmc is a fairly liked brand among mb'ers, and for the price I cant go wrong.

Z410 is standard-duty. 410H is heavy duty, and if you need heavier duty, 510HX is the chain to get in that size.

One site that I went to described z410 as the heavy duty chain. im confused lol. i found 112 links of z410 for $10 shipped, is z410 better than the 410 chain that grubee includes in their kits? thats what im replacing.

The Z410 is standard duty. It's basic chain, albeit KMC quality. I'd expect it to be better than any kit 410, or for that matter, 410 that's available at Walmart - like Bell.

But it's still basic chain. I've seen Z410 at SBP for $6.50 and 410H at bike shops for $9. I just paid $23 for 2 boxes of 510HX at Amazon with free shipping.

If you're using it for engine power, I'd go with 410H at least. But that's just my opinion, I tend to lean towards overkill when it comes to cables and chain lol

I doubt it is better than kit. The kit chains on average are all heavier duty than a generic bike chain.

I am a little curious what the 510 HX chain looks like in relation to a KMC 415?

Myself, I've never seen any kits come with 410, the 4 kits I've bought all came with 415. The last kit I bought was in 2008 tho.

410/410H and 510HX are 1/8" between inner side plates, 415 is 3/16". If you want the heaviest-duty 3/16" chain KMC makes, look for 910.

Confusing? Maybe lol
