How do you test the magneto? I'm having the same problem as you descride and done all the same checks and just installed a new CDI and spark plug but it will still only sputter and when I pull in the clutch the motor dies. Have you installed you new magneto yet?
motor only runs with wheels turning, but doesn't accelerate.
