Rims are around 6"? inches. Typical Goped/Razer type wheels.

I aired up the front tire fine - to 45 psi (was around 25 psi) - but cant access the back valve-stem (due to the chain/sprocket and frame).

Do I need a "valve extender"? - if so which type? (seems there are many types -with different threads and maybe for different vehicles-types also.

Nothing is simple anymore ;-(.

I'm ignorant about such things, but would sure appreciate any help on the matter.

.............

still need to join the 20 mph club ;-/.

Something similar happened to me the other day when I was trying to pump up my friend's motorbike, the front tire's valve was stuck at an angle and the pump head couldn't get pressure into the tire, had to deflate the tire and adjust the inter tube. You might just have to do that man.

Like to thank all who replied.

I figured it out. bought some metal valve-extenders and screwed 2 together to make it long enough to reach the tire-valve through the chain-sprocket assembly.

aired up the 15 psi tire up to the recommended 45 psi using simple bike hand pumb.
