Elite, moderators, etc members?

How do you become like an elite member, moderator, super moderator and all the fancy names? I've seen somone that joined in april thats a an elite memeber and I wonder how?? Do you like get promoted or somthing?

It's always been like that, automatic titling based on post count is part of the stock forum software, it's newbie/senior/elite ...but no one should take such "clichés" to heart...

Advice about advice - member profile pages;
...Post count means little aside from the fact that individual is a prolific poster, member titles are automatic based on post count alone...
Very often their work speaks for itself ;)

Vbulletin and most other forum software have groups that you are automatically assigned to when you reach a certain post count. There is no benefit to this, and you can change your title in your UCP at any time.
