Tire clearance

got a micargi tahiti / a 66cc engine.engine is centered on frame and the ragjoint sprocket is pretty straight but with the spacers the tire wants to pull the right and the chain rubs the tire. is there any way to space the sprocket out? thanks:-||

If you already have the dished side of the sprocket facing outwards, the only other alternative is to use whatever is handy to act as spacers between the sprocket and the outer rubber ring. Common washers and/ or 5/16" nuts come to mind.
I did away with the whole headache and went with a MM clam shell adapter. They are worth every penny! Sgt.Howard sells his version, Sportscarpat sells his version, Pirate Cycles sell a MM version too. Any of them are highly recommended .

Chain alignment is VERY important. If you can't get the chain off the tire without mis-aligning the chain, you will have to use a skinnier tire.

A washer under the outer wheel nut may also help keep the wheel from pulling to the side- between the frame and outer nut, if there's not one there already-

the new trend has been to a one piece wheel nut that's flared like a washer, but a separate washer works better.
