I wouldnt even consider putting an engine on a bike like that......maybe a friction drive or an electric wheel drive but no way a mid mounted engine, a China girl would damage that frame IMO......

I know carbon fiber is very strong material and it may actually work with a shock absorbing mounting system of some sort, but I think I'll just stick with a steel frame bike myself.

Very cool looking bike though, and very expensive too I would imagine.

From what I read, carbon fiber is very strong but not as springy as steel. It can also get brittle in cold weather, I believe. I seem to remember watching a TV program about a guy looking to set a downhill bicycle speed record on a carbon fiber racing bike. He made his attempt during cold weather. The resulting crack-up put him in the hospital. I'm still making up my mind about carbon fiber bikes.
