This first one is surely what we call a 'barn find'. And it is a beautiful example.

I have a friend who in 1997, found a 1932 Chevrolet coupe in an underground garage that had been up on blocks for over forty years. He aired the tires, put in fresh gasoline and installed a new battery and drove it from Trinadad Colorado to Denver.
The bike in the video was surely rescued in a similar manner.
Thanks for sharing.

I think it's to do with the perception of English names on things indicating better quality than those with Japanese names at the time.

Within 50 years of the Norman invasion of England, many English first names disappeared, and children were given Norman names instead.

There's probably an underlying principle or wiring, take on the identity of the conqueror and join in with them.
