Quieting the clutch case...

I did the sound deadening thing on the clutch side the other day. I cut out some dense black polymer sound deadening material (whatever brand you can find*) to the shape of the case cover, glued it on with contact cement. You know, it actually is quieter from that side - I wouldn't have thunk.

*don't think you want the asphalt kind.....

Personally this is my kind of engine sloppy and simple. It rattles it wheezes it just keeps on banging along.

My wife had a good point last night. She said. "What if you had screwed up that wheel after you sold your car?

"You know honey you are absolutely right, I need to build a spare." LOL that will teach her.

NO harm at all pablo, just different strokes.

It's like my son in law and I fight all the time about this issue. in different contexts of course. Not fight exactly just have hugely different opinions. I think what I was trying to say it that it's okay to love it for what it is, as well as what you can make it.
