I am looking to use a LED light for my bike. The light uses 4 (1.5 volt) AA batteries. Now the math says that this (1.5 X 4) = 6 volts. Right? or is there special math when it comes to electricity. I am still a little confused on AC vs. DC. I am currently using a 6 volt SLA battery to power my lights now. My question is, Can I "hard wire" the light with the SLA 6 volt or would it blow out the LED? 
I really don't wanna spend money I don't have on a futile attempt. 
Any help getting me to wrap my head around this electrical stuff would be great. Thanks.
