fatdaddy: looks damn good. not to reply to stuff you said a few years ago or anything, but yeah, the mount from ebay (Barry's one) is what I got. two very heavy bolts straight through the bottom tube holds it all together. the actual mounting plate that touches the motor has a little pit of play back on forth to allow you to tension the chain. In my opinion it is a great design.
this thing was put on the market literally days after i ordered mine, might have gone with it instead. that said Barry wanted fewer dollars for his mount and it came with an exhaust pipe too!

brown: that site has almost become pornography to me. i have been oogling those seats and posts for moths now. the only thing stopping me is cost. i have a near-to-no-cost idea to attach a spring to the existing seat, if that fails i am getting out my wallet.

Originally I was going to use heat-shrink tubing for this but I realized that I would need several different diameters to build up width, and that that stuff is expensive.

So if all you have is electrical tape, zip-ties, and some scraps of aluminum. You might as well do it well.

Yeah bro, I started building the OCC's before any of the bolt on mounts. I welded on a mount of my own design. The kids today sure have it a lot easier then we did "Back in the day".

to be honest I really lucked out with that. so far the only part I am going to need welded is tabs on the top tube for the gas tank.

the whole reason I started this project was to increase my mobility so I can get around and sell some of the stuff.
I'm one of those entrepreneurs or something.

here's a picture of my awesome fuel filter that won't work
and two of my waterproofing measures.
the third picture illustrates a crazy idea I had, hope it works.

Not pictured is the seal I did on the wires inside the magneto housing, thought I took one, too late now.

Looks like yer doin a clean job bro, too bad about the filter. I get mine online or from Kragens in the small engine dept. Just the small see through ones seem to work fine.

I was looking at pictures of the SHA clone online, the fuel inlet on that carb is on the opposite side so I think I could get it to fit on that carb (I actually think I've sussed a way to get it to fit with this one but it's perfectly in the way of the choke lever)

For now I'm going to go buy another filter, but I am going to hang on to this one just in case.
