I also have an Aotema direct drive front hub. Don't have a battery pack for it right now but I used it for about 4 years. The only time it bogged on me was sometimes taking off from a dead stop. But, I only road on flat roads. Only problem I ever had was a couple spokes got cut so I replaced them. You wont have that problem with a hub with hall sensors like MAGIC PIE. or a mid drive like SBP sells.. `
