Those dual joysticks turn the rear wheels to steer it.
Trying to motorize that 'front wheel on a stick' would just be silly ;-}

I saw one of those Tritons motorized somewhere. The engine was mounted behind the seat and drove a rear wheel via chain. Required fabrication.
It would be far easier to add an electric hub motor (or two) to the rear and there is plenty of space to mount batteries.
