If you are careful you can reuse undamaged gaskets...but new is always better. Go easy on the sealer too.

Well, I went ahead and took the head and cylinder off, lucky for me (I guess?) I could have loosened the bolts with the weight of the socket wrench handle alone. I wonder how many people don't check for torque?
What is the torque on those head bolts, I assume size 8 studs?
I wonder if the Chinese person who tightened it was exhausted, near the sixth day of a 12-14 hour shift?

My gaskets are in good condition.

I did some gasket trimming, and port grinding I will share on another thread soon.

I noticed the ridge or squish band lines up poorly with the head gasket, has anyone made a gasket(s) with a pop can?
