I cant get the chain on my pedal side to fit. It looks like it needs just 1 extra link, but when i add 1 it is suddenly way too long. The motor side fits perfectly around the sprockets. any one know what to do?

it means you need a half link somewhere or a tensioner.
i would run the tensioner on the peddle side since it dosent matter on that side and run the engine side strait

if you have a coaster brake you can buy a rear sprocket with one more tooth and that should take up the slack.

a chain tensioner won't work well on the pedal side if you have a coaster brake. the force it takes to pedal backwards to stop will loosen it up, and probably twist it into your spokes. that's not good.
