New edition motor prices vary greatly depending on which version. New motors upgraded by me would start at $750. These motors can be purchased cheaper from a less than stellar person on EBay [Joe Lin] , but always need a minimum of $300.00 to make them durable. If purchased on EBay from Joe Lin the shipping would be major from Taiwan.
The new edition motors also require the purchase of a coil, CDI module and if wanting lights, add for wiring harness, AC/DC relay, regulator module, lights etc [approx. $200.00 more].

Vintage motors range from $750.00 to $1200.00, depending on model. Vintage Whizzer motors don't have built in electronics, and adding lights would also run into to hundreds of dollars.

Might be wise to look for entire bike, and have the upgrades on the motor done.

I plan on having most of the same mods done by Q this winter, my bike is waiting on a new carb body so I figured I would rough cut out some steel for the mounts that will be welded in. What thickness would you suggest ? Im really interested how this motor is performing.
