My question is:The original Maytag engine powered a clothes washer, so it basically needed to maintain a constant RPM (about 1100 I understand). So it really did not incorporate a multi-speed carburetor, but used a sort of needle valve/air valve to provide the mixture. So how did the developer adapt (and what did he use?) a modern carburetor? I have one of these engines, but have hesitated to attempt to use it because of this issue. Any ideas?
