Bikemaster 17-0500. Make sure you do not buy the 17-0510. those are for ATV's and wont work on the throttle side. I use the 17-0500 on all of my motorized bicycles.

I use hair spray when I install them but there is likely better products to use to mount them. I have also just installed them with water and allowed to dry and have had no problems.

The Bikemaster 17-0500 is also inexpensive and hold up good.

Got to be careful when replacing grips on an E throttle. It wont take the forces normally used on a common twist throttle. It seems that most of the twist throttles I have gotten with E kits are set for left handed use, grip seems backward. Point is cut the grip off with something like a razor knife. Then carefully expand the new grip by heating, anything will do even the sun. Windex/soap the throttle line it up where you want it and carefully press it on.
Not an issue with thumb throttles.

I've been using foam grips for years now and for old hands they are a real good thing. I upholster mine in elk hide which gives them a nice feel and look. Some have fringe, some don't. A comfortable seat and comfortable grips goes a long way in making for a good ride.

I have all ways preferred the rubber mushroom style grips.
Started using ODI Attack MTN comfort grips in the late 1980's.
They still make them if that's any indication of how good they are and made in the USA.

And get a pair of bike gloves, padded palms for handle bar vibration and when you get off at 20mph, saves the first thing you will put in front off you to break your fall... you hands.

If you know anyone in the air conditioning trade ask him for a foot of 'Donkey-Dick". He'll know what it is. You'll want 3/4" I.D. or 1" if you want to slip it over your current grips. A little squirt of aerosol adhesive will keep them in place.

It is actually foam pipe insulation typically used on the suction (low pressure) lines in an air conditioning system. It comes in different wall thickness, thick and thin.

Is that like split loom? Or is it a solid peice of foam? I have wanted thicker bicyle grips for a life time now. How well do they hold up next to a commercial grip?

I did find what looks like a listing for? This one is in the UK. http://www.bes.co.uk/products/086.asp https://www.google.com/search?q=Don...l=en&q=Donkey-Dick+a/c++water+pipe+insulation Would have to look around more.
Goat, try this > http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...ion&qpvt=vasca+cell+pipe+insulation&FORM=IGRE

It isn't split. It is meant to be fed onto a pipe before the connections are made. The thin wall stuff is only 1/2" wall. It goes up as the I.D goes up too. You can 2" O.D with a 1" wall thickness. Really a soft, comfy grip.

Call around to a local HVAC supply house. Two popular brands are vasca cell and K-Flex.
Good luck.

Very kewl indeed! In this link I read up just now they have EPDM. Well Mebbe? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPDM_rubber frome here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pipe_insulation My experiance with this stuff is it will be dence. I had a aquintqnce in roofing. They had a ton of EPDM roof membrane sample patches. Looked like innertubing kinda. This stuff is far more dence. It was resilant enough to go with our CNC machined motor mounts. Pretty impressed with the stuff.

If they cured that in a spray type foam way. There would be squish there and it will last a long time! Will have to read up more and see what is out there?

These are awesome http://www.niagaracycle.com/categor...-grips-black?gclid=CI2t0Zr6rMACFWwQ7AodcBIAYA but if you want a little thicker and tougher these bad boys are the real deal( took me a while to find these again bike parts usa don't have them anymore its not the same as it used to be) here you go right here--- http://www.ebay.com/itm/SunLite-MXI...Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51bc4c4652 I just ordered some myself. To get them on I spray a little goo gone on the bars and they slide right on dries after an hour or so and they are on tight( good luck getting them off again).

Those grips you linked are among the most comfortable grips I have used to date. I love them especially when they are new. At six foot tall and hands to match I want thicker ones. Donkey here I come lol.
