Default Re: I lost another magneto coil

Been pondering this...I like the series-killswitch idea. How about a current-limiter or fuse in series with that type of switch? The coil's about 330-ohm and the voltage under normal operation hits between 60-90 VAC. So, we can expect like 1/4 A. A fuse could work, but I could imagine that being a pain in the ass. Dunno much about solid-state current-limiters; I'll dick around on the bench this weekend.
