Just a suggestion, but, what if you copper plated the carburetor? :)

Wanted to try to make my 50cc Ht look like something from the early 1900's.
This was a good running 5 yr old happy time engine. After the cosmetic changes the engine still works the same.
I'd say you accomplished your mission!

brass fitments are the way to go - got a pair of Wal Phillips fuel injectors I ran on my '51 dragster that I always wanted to brass plate like the 20s & 30s bikes

You are spot on, I have been looking for a vintage brass/bronze carb @ at an affordable price that I could adapt. Would really love to also find an antique SPARK PLUG also.

Ok ready for the Parade. Beautiful day, sun is shining and none of the rain we've had for the last 4 days!
Did about 50 trouble free miles today. No sunburn but a heck of a wind burn!
