Hi everybody,
Name is John B. My 12 year old son and I just finished building an 80cc General bike. We live in Wisconsin and it is 30 degrees here but that did not stop us from firiing it up. We love it. We took turns riding it all day Sunday. I have been riding motorcycles since 1971. I own several bikes. I am selling my 1967 BSA 650 lightning if anyone is interested. We had our first trouble today. The clutch is stuck in the engaged position. Cable is adjusted I think the clutch pads are stuck how do youuu free them?
Thanks,
JohnB

Pull off the right side cover and see whats going on when you move the lever, John.
These HT's are easy to work on...

If the clutch pressure plate is not lifting, when you pull the lever, perhaps there is a problem with the bucking bar, bearing, or cam, or the release lever has slipped on the cam . lever. Maybe the flower nut got loose?

Real ez to take them apart for inspection.
That's one of the best features of these chinagirls!

Great, John!
We are always happy to help out.
and by golly, there's nearly always a fly in the ointment, with these HT's... :)
