I just use a soldering iron, seems to get it hot enough to plug the hole. I try not to heat it up too much for fear of getting too good of flow and dripping solder out the other side. Here is the drill set I bought. Has all the good ones for our 2 strokes.

Mine is as I meant it......

OK OK - I didn't have all the time to solder and I'm dubious of the actual size and shape of the holes home drilled, but if it works, it really doesn't matter.

Those bits seem funny. Looking at the picture, as the numbers get bigger the bit gets smaller. Like wire size... 10ga is much bigger than 22ga.

On the jet sizes, shouldn't the bigger number represent a larger hole ?

Drill number size as you suggest are like wire or steel sizes. Larger number is smaller and smaller number is larger. Here is a drill size chart for reference.
