I'm going. Trying to get my minarelli motored bike done, finally. Don't know how fast it's gonna be, or if it's even gonna run. Right now I'm in the "weld all this crap together and hope it works" stage.

Cool, it's going to be fun for you in the Midrange class.

What kind of power does that Moped motor make?

Who else on here is racing?
Aside from msrfan, Gilbert, Scotto, BobbyT and Tyler6357

Stock it's a whopping 2hp! But I've seen 60+mph mopeds after they've been kitted. And my bike will weigh about 60lbs, which is 50 less than a moped.

No time for any hopped up parts before the race, so I'm just gonna tune it and see how she goes.

Sometime in the next year or two I plan to make a pilgrimage down there and race for the first time, I can't make it to this next one though. I'll bring my 79 predator bike and, if I ever finish it, my 125cc lifan build and hopefully race both of them. Someone take some videos/pics for me in the meantime!

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

NO STIRRING UP DUST IN THE DIRT AREA of GRANGE.

No ALCOHOL or DRUG / MARIJUANA consumption if you are riding/racing on the track.

FULL FACE DOT rated helmet or better like Snell.
No open face helmets.
No bicycle helmets.
No novelty motorcycle / skateboard helmets without DOT certification.

Eye protection.

Adequate Gloves. No bare hands.
Knee and elbow pads or Full Leathers or Motocross Gear.

If you wear a heavy leather jacket you don't need elbow pads.

Long pants, no shorts or exposed skin please.

Ankle protecting & supporting footwear or boots.

The pit road speed limit is 5 mph [ IDLEING ] speed and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.

A Back Protector and Shoulder Padding is Highly Recommended.

Fire extinguisher is recommended.

ALL RACE BIKES, PEDS, QUADS to have a readable Front # Plate

I will be there with my bike and my friend Kevin is going too. We should be there for Friday's practice as early as we can drive there in the RV.

Didn't know that Baird only had 2 HP. I was thinking it would be 4 HP.

We will fit Baird into one of the race classes where he has some competition
and fun on his 2HP moped.

Nashmoto is racing his little 50 cc 4 stroke Honda in the Novice China girl class
for fun and so can Baird.

Will you be rooting for baird at the track?

Don't be fooled by the hp. When done right, these motors will scream. I'm still working on it. Hopefully I get it done in 3 days.

If you have never ridden on a race track this is the perfect way to try it out.

Fun riding in a real race track, no speed limits, no cars, no cops, no obstacles like curbs and cars in case you get over your head.

Get to use the whole road with no lanes.

After dark party then get an early start to the Sat race.
