chain help!!

so my chain is too loose to go with out a tensioner but two short to take any more links out of. But the chain keeps flying off the sprocket and tensioner. what do i do? are there any other kinds of tensioners?

KORE makes a spring loaded BMX/ DOwnhill tensioner that mounts on the frame, and even works with 24 speed bikes. I'm going to try it for MB.

This Kore tensioner looks nice but would not work on my build. I can't position it to tighten the chain without being where it would hit the wheel.

Assuming your bike is a single speed not a derailleur setup,using a 1/2 link on the pedal side can allow the wheel for more adjustment on the engine drive side.
