I went on craigslist today and found a beach rental place selling of their old stock of bikes. I was able to get a pair of Electra Townie single speeds for $50! All I need to get both going are 4 tires, 1 chain, repack all the bearings, and a coat of paint. Might not be the deal of the year, but it's close.

I slapped one of them together today to see how well they would ride. I have to say that they are head over heels better than anything you get at WalMart. I have to get a new front tire and then paint it still, but it's still fun to run around on it right now. I gave the other to my Uncle and he is going to put a motor on his too.

Finally got the bike all painted. Just have to put the friction drive back on. Although I am thinking about selling the friction drive and getting a GEBE. Very tempting....
