Clutch handles can break with these kits cheap pot metal. Up grade with one for a brake on a bike. If you use one with a longer handle to it then the clutch will be easier to work. Less strain one your hand. Use a small piece of old inner tubing to slip over the handle as a lock.

Mine broke before the motor even ran. It broke where it grips the handle bar. I installed it broken and tightened the screw lightly, then smeared JB into the gap and tightened it for real the next day. It still holds tight.

I never knew it until a few months ago but it's actually feasable to get a locking "brake" handle from a bike shop. The button locks the handle back further than stock (meaning when it's locked you're not still like halfway in gear anymore) and it's got a 2-piece mount attached by 4 allen screws.

Not to mention the thing is like, rediculously solid and I only paid around $15. I think they call it like a parking brake.
