Hi I guess this is where to ask the experts, before I get myself in over my head.
I have a 2015 Giant Roam 1 extra Large ALUXX aluminum frame.
I am open to suggestions on getting this bike powered up I am looking for
getting to 20 MPH quickly and maintaining that speed reliably and efficiently.
its perfectly fine if it goes well beyond the 20 MPH that I mention but I plan on trying to restrain myself to the legal limit,( at least when no one is looking laff)
I am looking for a great quality lightweight smooth motor.
I will be happy to invest $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 for the right set up.
once the bike is setup I plan on gusseting the frame and stripping the bike down to have it media blasted then mirror polished and clear coated.
I am defiantly not wanting the normal Gas powered off the shelf kit, not that there is anything wrong with them I just want to take my time and use my skills and help from my friends to make something gas powered that excites me enough to use this daily. I do not plan to only rely on the motor as I plan to pedal for exercise.

So I am thinking I need a motor that has great low end torque I don't think I want something buzzing between my legs screaming at 8,000 RPM

I don't have personal access to a machine shop or a large garage full of tools either. so I am sure not going to be able to cut chop and modify my bike into a work of art like so many of you have, so this is where I would have to make my bike stand out some, buy using quality parts and to start with and then making them better. giving them a full polish and perhaps anodizing. the look I am going for is a refined polished Aluminum with anodized parts hot rod.
if that makes sense.

here is what has inspired my desire. keep in mind I am looking for the less insane version of this.

I found this kit it seems very similar to what I might want but from what I can tell it seems illegal as **** to use on the road.

any thoughts?

It seems I could use this kit or one similar if it was not labeled for off road use.
I just found this online for about the law on gas Powered bicycles
I could do 30 MPH if I so desired unless I read this wrong, I guess I would just have to call my bike a Moped and register it.
LoL but where would one find a 2 HP motor that could do 30 MPH?
