Clutch won't ENGAGE

So I'm riding along when I pull my clutch lever to stop when the nerp on the end of the cable shears off. I push in the clutch arm and walk it home. After making a new cable nerp with some solder and wire I go out for a test spin. Well the bike starts up but I'm not going anywhere. Turns out the drive sprocket case is cracked. So I replace the cover but now my bucking bar is sticking out too far. I make another that's 15/16" long so that the cover will go on and to save the original but now my clutch will not engage at all. My motor is a 66cc anglefire, the bearing is still inside my drive shaft. With the drive sprocket cover removed and no bucking bar the bike just rolls. I can not get the clutch to engage at all!

My questions are:
Are bucking bars all the same length?

Is it okay my clutch came without a pressure spring?

Could the cable breaking cause damage to my clutch?

Thanks

So I went thru the whole post and still couldn't find a fix. The bucking bar sticks out a 1/2 inch and won't go in at all. The wheel spins freely and there's slight wear from the flowernut on the clutch cover. Any ideas what it could be? Do I need a pressure plate spring?
