Just paint it. I don't even use 'high temp' paint. I've used Rustoleum, Krylon, DupliColor, and model airplane paint.

The trick is getting the metal clean. That means absolutely no oil or grease on the surfaces you intend to paint. Use a good degreasing solvent like Brake Clean but read the label and wear safety goggles. You don't want that stuff in your eyes.
Naturally you'll want to remove or mask those parts you don't want painted.

Spray seems to work best and I try to keep the coats thinner on the cooling fins of the cylinder and cylinder head to help dissapate heat but thick enough for a good covering.
