Hello from Houston

Hi, this is the first time i become a member of a forum, and well i have a question hopefully someone could help me with.

i've seen some bikes that have a chain connected to a metal sprocket on the back weel. but i have also seen other bikes with what looks to be a rubber band, (kind of like a alternator band on a car motor) and this is connected to something that does the same function as a metal sprocket but is about 3-4 time bigger in diameter.

any help would be a appreciated.

thanks for the reply, and about the belt drive. do you know if one is better than the other, because a video that i saw in the internet had about 10 ridders and all ten of them had this belt drive but the size of the sprocket was really big. the radius of the sprocket was probably 7 inches shorter than the radius of the tire. it might of been twice as big as the one from the picture you sent me. and well i wanted to know if one of them might make you go faster bc i will be using this in a city that is very hilly.
