Cant start engine as peddles in the way :(

Hi guys and gals, im new here.

I have a 66cc bike engine. Im having troubles getting it started.

Everything seems to be fitted correctly.

Its just i cant peddle the bike at all as the exhaust is in the way and i cant move the exhaust or bend the exhaust.

Is there any way i can start without pedderling ?

I did that and now its ok.

Problem now is that i try to push the bike with the clutch in and the chain feels so hard and the bike just wants to lock up.

These bikes are hard work. :(

Nope. I had to straighten the motor, it was slightly not sitting straight.

Im still having problems with it. I think i will try again tomorrow.

Im not happy with these motors they fit terribly.

Yeah they're made to fit any bicycle, but the don't actually fit any bicycle lol,

You are on the right track, mount the engine as solid as possible. Use loctite on all mounting hardware, these things vibrate. The hard part starts when you try to run it! Good luck

It will help you a lot in the long run if you replace the exhaust studs with metric Property Class 9.8, 10.9 or 12.9 M6 bolts.

Busted stock studs are no fun, trust us. Make sure you secure your exhaust to frame, too, it will cut down vibes.

These engines are not 1 engine fits all frames...far from it. Although if there is physical room they can be made to fit properly. Like I've said in the past a frame with a 75 degree "V" is ideal. If you have much more or less of a angle the mounts need some type of modification, either through a custom bracket or a shim. As far as the engine rotating on it's axis due from torque, here is how you can stop it without over torquing the engine mount studs...which will lead to broken/stripped threads.

This is simply a "L" bracket that will rest on the seat tube and keeps the engine from rotating on it's axis.
