Thanks, Steve.

The front is nearly ready built, now.
Here are some pics:

The massive board "bumper" will be replaced by a refined and lighter version later.
It was rather a fixation beam for the wobbly loose panels during the build.

Cheers, Kai

Christian from the local steampunk community made some color simulations.
Quite useful, I think.
Better than paint it first and hate it afterwards.
He also suggested to change the grille from oval to a horseshoe shaped one.
Now it looks more like a Bugatti or Morgan, than a Jag.
My wife just giggled, when she saw the photo, so I have to go for it. :D
The curved windshield is also suggested by him, but the real one will be a bit higher.

Bordeaux is now our favourite color

Bugatti blue is on second place

British racing green would be another option (for one of the next builds...)

I'm still thinking about a 2 tone scheme, all colors above can be combined with creme white.

Fantastically beautiful build. Keep in mind that I spent a large part of my life restoring antique furniture but in my mind the natural wood and the maroon colour of the fenders is a perfect match. The build is indeed a work of art.

It is an inspiration for those of us who wish to build a velo car like you did.

Thank you.

Steve.

Thanks all, for your words.
I'm curently planning the E-assist.
Bought a 36V/20Ah LiFePo4 a few weeks ago and tested it on a friends bike, in this case a rather heavy pedal quad with a 350watt mid drive motor.
It was real fun to pedal uphill and feel the airstream around my ears :)
Once i was used to the assistance, switching the motor off feeled like driving with brakes.
I pedalled 10km with around 250metres/775ft of elevation for testing.
Judging on the voltage, the battery was still 75-80% full after the test.
Now I'm searching the best solution to include an e-motor into the left drivetrain of the Roadster.

Cheers, Kai
