New guy from canada, i have a trike i'm in the process of trying to motorize.
Lots of good info here for a noob like myself. Here's some picks of the pile of parts i put together, turned out ok for limited tools and no welder.

cheers

Very nice build. Now it's time for an engine. I nice little 4 stroke mounted back there behind you would be perfect. Keep us informed and welcome to the forum.

Thanks 2door! I have a 2 stroke cateye pocket bike motor for it. Tryed to mount a chain and sprockets but the chain kept coming off, even with a chain tensioner. So now i'm trying to do a FD but not sure if the way i mounted the bike peg is going to be strong enough?

Here's some pics, had to grind down the bolts to fit the groves.

Do you guys think it will hold?

Cheers

Looks like you're off to a good start!

Perhaps you could roughen up the surface of that peg a bit with a grinder????

Thanks for the welcome and the great tips. I was planning to ruff up the peg, but is that enough? I like the fiberglass wrap idea. What i really want to know is if the bolts are going to hold the peg on the shaft with the torque of the motor?
