So, the bottom bracket and the headset on my bike are probably the original pieces, meaning they're 30+ years old. From what I've seen on the headset, the parts are pretty rusty, and I'm assuming this to be the case with the bottom bracket. My question is, what's a quality company to go with in purchasing a new (threaded) headset and bottom bracket (for a one piece crank)? I'm looking on Amazon and my options seem to be Pyramid, Sun Light, and Wald. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? I'm going to pull the bottom bracket apart to clean/grease everything. However, as I am putting a brand new fork and stem on the bike, I'd like to go ahead and replace the headset.
