Bike wont start

my bike wont start. I have a 66cc ported and reeded. nt carb rebuilt, stripped head bolt, helicoiled. I checked and i have spark. i poured gas in the plug hole and was able to get the engine to fire. but i cant get it to run. what do i try next.

I had that problem on my first engine. I long considered buying a new bottom end engine. But for $90 I bought a brand new 2 stroke from LEB on ebay and it started right up!

You could try buying a new bottom end and replace it for cheaper.

I think it depends on availablity of parts for you and how much you can spend.

You obviously aren't getting enough fuel. I would look for vacuum leaks and fuel bowl not being filled (needle and seat stuck, fuel filter clogged, float level set incorrectly)

first thing I'd do (if I had the old carb & manifold around) is put it back to stock & get it running and broken in - then I'd work out any problems when I put the reed back on
