I just bought the FDR-358-1-1/8 Honda GX35 35.8 cc Four Cycle Engine Kit from staton inc. I was wondering which full suspension bike out of this list would work with this kit without any mods? If none, could anyone mention a full suspension bike that is readily available and is in the $400-$1200 price range. My list is as follows:

1)

http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...n+Full-Suspension+Mountain+Bike.jsp?locale=en

2)

http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...n+Full-Suspension+Mountain+Bike.jsp?locale=en

3)

I notice that the ilits that exists on the bike in there example

http://www.staton-inc.com/store/images/products/secondary/2344.jpg

don't exist on any bike I can find, will this pose as a challenge ? I imagine these struts are there for stability purposes and should no be ignored.

Any help would be great.

The rear swing arm on the bicycles you've seleced sit alot lower than the one pictured with the engine. realistically you could mount that friction drive on any frame with a modified mount. but if you're planning on using the the standard brackets, i would suggest finding a frame thats close to the picture.

hmm thanks for the input. It seems like there is a large amount of tweaking needed if I want to use a full suspension bike

Hey Ryan,

There are two mounts: short and long.

I think the long mount should be attached by the suspension as seen in statons pic.

I hope this helps.

(I have a BMP FD motorized bicycle, they are no longer in business btw.)

:)
