Hi all,
I will be starting my first build as soon as my engine kit arrives. I wll be putting it on a cruiser style bike. As it is rather hilly where we live I want to install hand brakes on the front. Is it always necessary to drill a hole to attach the brakes to the fork of the bike or has someone developed a bracket of some kind to attach it? Can anyone recommend a reasonable brake set to install? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, glad you joined us :)

Yes, all the ones I have seen already have the hole pre-drilled...but if it does not you will have to drill a hole. I do not know of any bracket that can be used.

Thanks, guys. I will be picking the bike up either later tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully it will have the hole to mount the brake predrilled. I will keep you posted on my project. Thanks again for your help.
