I've been wanting to build a Motorized Bike for a while now and I decided to put together a price list/summary.

GT2-A Built in gas tank frame - $170

4 stroke engine - $350 (Is there something better than the grubee besides EZM?)

SBP Shift Kit - $190

Shimano 8-speed hub - $150

Where should I buy the rest of the bike parts?

Does anyone know the best place to find these parts that's reliable and if there is anything better?

Thanks, Chris

Re: Finally building a MB

Welcome, That's a nice choice for engine and frame. Frame is designed for 2 stroke but I have seen a few posts here where people have used them. The 2 best 4 stroke kits are the 2 you have mentioned. EZM can be paired with the larger cc engines like 79/99cc. I would recommend http://www.bicycle-engines.com/ for the 4g kit though as the other place has bad reviews. You may pay a bit more, but bicycle-engines have been known for customer service. Dogtown Burner did a sweet 2 stoke with the frame you chose. He should know where to find parts. http://motorbicycling.com/showthread.php?t=42432

I think the only bullet proof, trouble free setup is a Staton-inc or Thatsdax friction drive kit with a great motor like a Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, etc. Since you are buying a GTA2 frame, I doubt you are interested in friction drive.
How about a frame mounted Honda GX50 with an EZM gear box?
There are some 4 stroke gear drives out there that have reliability problems, like the Hoot, so read up.
