Found a cool Briggs air cleaner for NT carb

This is off a briggs 5hp powered woodchipper
All I have to do is notch it for the choke plate bolt and drill two holes to secure it to the carb.

I'll need to fab a sheetmetal bridge inside to hold the center bolt for the top.

LOTS more area and great looks too!
best of all, it was FREE!

I have one of those; isn't the cover secured with a long bolt which screws into the base of the 90 in the intake? How do you propose to keep the rest connected?

I'll make a small sheet metal bridge inside the bottom cover to span the the center hole with a stud in the center to hold the top cover. Worse comes to worse, I'll glue a fake bolt in the hole and use rtv around the edges. All the intake area is on the bottom so it will still work fine.
I like the idea of bolting it on better though so I'll try to make something work.
