Hello guys

i have been bitten by the bug and want to build a new motorbike.i have a 1952 schwinn frame to start, but many have told me not to use it because it will not withstand the motor vibration and will crack and break.i would not like to mess this vintage frame so i ask:is this true, are these frames so weak?any input would be greatly apreciated.

All I can say is that many people look for the older frames because they are thicker and stronger than the newer thinner cheap bike frames made in China, I'm gonna say that unless you just want to keep the frame as a collectible it is probable a good frame for a motor bike, maybe some of the wiser guys on the matter will chime in soon and let you know their opinions on it which will out weigh mine.

Peace, Map

Those old Schwinn frames are steel beasts. I've owned some in my time, and my dad still has his old Schwinn Corvette. A '52 frame should actually be able to withstand whatever bicycle motor you want to bolt on.
