VERY cool build!! I did something similar a few years back, may even be same type of bike. I'll see if I have some pics... I tried to be stealthy with rack mounting a frame mount kit and hiding it all with a plastic milk crate. I used heavy as fk angle iron for the rack which is too much for this set up. I like yours with the lighter looking rack :)

From what I can see I.W., this same style mounting would work just as well over the front wheel. Just be sure the road is dry and the front wheel is straight when bump starting.
A good solid rack would be easy to build....sprocket does not care what wheel it's bolted to.
By the way.....I believe this would also work quite well to mount a ht on the Walmart Mongoose fatbike! No jackshaft reqired! Just possibly a sprocket adapter or some type of spacer for the ragjoint sprocket.
so does that mean you could put two motors on one bike?
