Just built my first bike over the weekend using a Chinese motor on an Electra Coaster 7. Been having a great time breaking it in too.

Here's the write up I did for family and friends over at tabloo...

Electra Coaster 7 Project

It's been a lot of fun to ride so far but I'm hungry for more power so I plan to do an 80cc version soon in another bike and possibly an upgrade to this one. Does anyone know if I can just buy the appropriate top end parts and bolt them on this?

awesome story and awesome article on motorized bicycles. the difference in the bigger and smaller 2 stroke is power not speed. the bigger engine was made for pulling carts and stuff is my understanding. i have also been told the 48-60cc engines can run at higher rpms and with modification can actually go faster then the bigger motors. a tuned pipe would make all the difference in the world and if you don't have a lot of hills also a smaller sprocket will give you more top end but you will loose a little on the lower end. welcome to the site and glad to have you with us :ride2:
